About the Role
We are seeking a California-licensed Civil Engineer (PE) with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to support our expanding portfolio of projects. This remote, project-based role focuses on engineering calculations, technical analysis, and review. Your insights will shape design direction and ensure code compliance, technical soundness, and feasibility.
You will collaborate with internal design teams and external stakeholders, providing key input across multiple project phases.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct engineering analyses and calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, and civil site development
Develop technical markups, sketches, and preliminary concepts
Review and provide feedback on construction documents, exhibits, and design phases
Provide quality assurance and engineering oversight across project stages
Participate in internal design meetings and coordinate with clients, architects, and other consultants
Maintain a deep understanding of California codes, regulations, and permitting processes
Assist in developing or reviewing documentation related to specifications, scopes of work, and project narratives
What We’re Looking For
Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) in California – please include your PE license number on your resume
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience
Professional liability (E&O) and general liability (GL) insurance coverage required
Strong ability to interpret and apply engineering standards, and local codes
Hands-on experience performing and reviewing technical calculations and analyses
Familiarity with the full lifecycle of project documentation—from conceptual design through construction
Strong command of civil engineering systems, materials, and construction methods
Clear communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
